![]() For a game to be enjoyable there needs to be some element of challenge to it otherwise there is no feeling of gratification to be had. I really like this change as it adds incentive to playing on the highest difficulties in the game and that just makes sense from a design perspective. This model completely destroys the progression curve and makes players wonder why they would even bother with Torment in the first place. Why would the best gear for your character drop before you reached the end game? To equate this in WoW terms, it’d be like Heroic Dungeons dropping your class tier sets and then raids dropping side grades that you’d use in conjunction with the 5-man gear. With this line of thought it just didn’t make sense that these types of items dropped while trying to gear up to farm higher difficulties. The reasoning behind this was because sets are usually what players strive to collect and many consider the sets to be the end goal of grinding to perfect their characters. Class sets will now drop only in Torment I or higher difficulties. ![]() Some waves were created in the community earlier today when it was announced that the most recent set of hotfixes changed the way class specific set items dropped.
